Despite the fact that we still had 13 people online in raid last night, we continue to lose members for various reasons. We effectively lost 4 660+ DPS in one night but this doesn't mean that we can't continue. In trying to figure out why so we can do something about it, i'll give the reasons given below:
1. backstabbath: different views on progression (not to sure what)
2. Blmorph: wants to rejoin a friends guild suddenly after being back 1 week
3. Zeddik: work schedule preventing attendance
4. neurotak: something about 3am raids.
5. Hysin: no reason given, but was complaining about having to run normal
So there you have it. I'll leave you all to make your own minds up on all of that. From the official reasons given there does not even appear to be a problem, but clearly there must be. This makes it impossible to find a way of preventing this from happening again.
Again as I said on mumble last night, lets not get involved in background gossip or make assumptions or petty bitching over nothing. We need everyone to stay with us in order to rebuild so if you have a REAL concern, bring it up directly instead of bouncing your thoughts around in your groups.
If anyone has a problem, be direct, be strong and brave about it and be upfront and say what you mean. Give a real reason for leaving and stop being so bloody soft about this !! We will continue to bleed players unless the indirect gossip/ bitching does not stop behind other peoples backs. I believe that this gossip and some public QQ about our situation is the real reason why a few people have pulled out, but they just wont own up to that. It really is days of our lives stuff if this is true.
The good news is that Picklecat is staying and ALSO has up to 3 excellent raiders willing to join us from tomorrow which brings us one step closer to mythic. I was also encouraged that the raid was relatively smooth last night considering who we lost.
The Healer Nilea Did great for someone who never really has done Hm befor and
The pally dps was one of the stronger dps.
Kielzor makes comments like they're not good but these guys actually showed up on time not an hour later expecting a position in the raid, you're a hunter you're expected to pull high volume dps number, but in the end you're still dead weight when you show up an hour late every raid
reincarnates the guys you have seemed perfect to me to be honest based on what others told me.
After speaking to gap and bruiser I'm more than happy to stick around and just keep plugging away with the guys we have left and go from there.
If we don't make it out of heroic or carry a few people, this does not bother me personally at all. it stresses me out though when other people make an issue out of it and I think it may not be a problem now anyway with the people who are left.
The thing is that everyone who has ended up top dps in the guild was pretty much carried at first. there is potential in everyone to improve their abilities and we shouldn't be crushing them at the start. Give people a chance and they can end up being the best players we have ever had.
our criteria right now should be getting people with good attendance who have a good attitude towards others. In fact the pleasant nature of those remaining is the main reason I'm sticking with it.
Like I told you on the day, I informed Vorp that I was going to be an hour later every Wednesday and Thursday and even asked him if that was going to be a problem and if he wanted me to not attend raids. I have been in heroic progression guilds and stuck with them (Dark Bargain realm first 10man in ToT and died out to reform asterix in SoO who went 13/14 before they disbanded). The uninformed slander is quite funny cause you have no clue and you just say what you think.
Even if you did tell vorp you should of told other officers as well, and for your remark of telling us to get good, you should maybe look at yourself first. for your ilvl and the all know it talk you under perform massively.
So after say that Kielzor, please stay off this forums no need on having you on here anymore. thankyou
just for future reference you should be able to click on members and hit the little bin icon next to someone to remove their membership and prevent them logging into the site.
I didn't do it because I was hoping it wouldn't be needed.
hopefully we are going in a new direction anyway and away from elitist attitudes. I think where we went wrong recently is we invited a few people to our raids based on performance alone and we really need to screen people harder to see if they will be compatible with a casual guild.
The fact is that anyone can reach a higher level of performance if they care enough about it. It shouldn't reflect the real ability of a person or influence how we treat them. Sometimes its a fine line though eh. that's just my 2c
The only reason I left after that first raid I went to last week, was because of certain people making the atmosphere not like it was back in MoP/SoO. I knew if I stayed I would of opened my mouth, I have a hard time being patient with people like that in a raid.
I xferred to a US-Alliance realm the day before they all left :/ ($60.50).
I definitely would come back if you guys look to be picking up with numbers in the near future, otherwise I'll have to hold off due to $.
We'll be performing a live maintenance on Thursday, March 22nd from 8:00 AM PDT to 9:00 AM PDT. During this time, players may experience interruptions of service including disconnects, but should be able to log back in.
